Work Christmas Party Decoration Ideas
Decking the office with boughs of holly is a great way to get into the spirit. Once you get the green light to hold a Christmas party for work, you'll have a lot of planning to do. Decorations are one of the important details to consider for the holiday party. If the work Christmas party is held at the office, make sure you check on restrictions for the decorations.
Christmas Tree
A miniature Christmas tree is a simple way to dress up the party area. The small size makes it manageable and allows you to take it down easily after the party. A strand of lights, some ornaments and a few candy canes finish off the tree. A simple piece of Christmas-themed fabric is a good way to cover up the stand of the miniature tree which is often unattractive. Place the mini Christmas tree on a main table in the party area.
Garland
Garland is often found on Christmas trees but it also adds a festive touch to the office party area. It is inexpensive, bright and comes in a variety of colors and designs making it easy to get the look you want. Drape the garland around the room, attaching it to the walls with tape. Another option is to drape it down from the ceiling. Candy canes or Christmas ornaments attached to the garland gives it more holiday cheer.
Pine Boughs and Lights
Pine boughs are a classic holiday decoration that work just as well at an office party as they do at home. Choosing artificial pine boughs is the safest option. It reduces the fire risk. Allergies are another concern if you use real pine boughs. You don't want an allergic reaction to the decorations at the work holiday party. The pine boughs work well on the walls or tables. Adding strands of Christmas lights dresses up the boughs. Pine cones, bows and Christmas ornaments added to the pine boughs also work well to add more festivity to the office party.
