Remove An Old Spray Hose On A Pfister Faucet

Sprayers are a popular accessory for kitchen faucets. Sprayers draw their water from the faucet body, where they are connected by a long, flexible hose. Because these hoses are constantly in motion and bent in all sorts of shapes, over time they can lose their flexibility and sometimes even spring a leak. If you need to remove an old spray hose on your Pfister faucet for replacement, the procedure is fairly simple.

Instructions

1. Open the cabinet beneath where the Pfister faucet is installed.

2. Look for the water supply valves mounted on the wall. You can find these by following the two hoses leading from the valves upwards to the sink above.

3. Turn the knob on the end of each of the supply valves all the way to the right in order to cut off the water supply.

4. Open the faucet tap and allow all the water inside to run out.

5. Position yourself back underneath the sink. Follow the hose from the spray arm in the sink above to where it meets the faucet body.

6. Use a pair of pliers to loosen the coupling where the sprayer hose connects to the faucet body.

7. Pull the sprayer nozzle up and off the countertop. The sprayer hose will follow. Disconnect the sprayer hose from the sprayer with a pair of pliers in the same manner as disconnecting the hose from the faucet body.
