Alamo works with Sam's Club to offer major savings on rentals.
Sam's Club is a members-only chain of retail warehouse clubs owned by the Wal-Mart Corporation. Customers must purchase an annual membership to get into the store and make purchases. Members of Sam's Club can buy retail products, services and other merchandise in bulk, usually at significantly discounted or near-wholesale prices.
A Sam's Club membership has other benefits, including a wide array of discounts and special rates for vacationers. Alamo Rent a Car has a special agreement with the company to grant Sam's Club members deep discounts on car rentals.
Extra Driver Fee
When renting a car for more than one driver, Alamo will charge its customers an extra daily fee per additional driver. However, if you enter your Sam's Club membership ID number at the time of your rental, Alamo will waive the extra driver fee.
Enter the number into the Contract ID field on the website or inform the reservation agent on a phone rental. If you don't know what your membership identification number is, contact Sam's Club prior to renting your car from Alamo.
Multiple Discounts With One Rental
Alamo Rent a Car is one of the few rental car agencies that allows its customers to stack coupons. This means you are allowed to use more than one type of discount with each rental. If you are a Sam's Club member and also have another type of discount for Alamo, such as a discount coupon from a vacation club, you can use both discounts when reserving your car on the Alamo website.
Special Promotions
When booking travel directly through the website, members have the option of reserving their flights, hotel stays and car rentals together. When a customer reserves two or more of these services together, Sam's Club frequently runs package promotions that grant members deep discounts on all reserved services, including rental cars from Alamo.
Additionally, there is no booking fee through the website and no cancellation fee if the customer changes the itinerary at a later date.
