Deck Design Software

I am looking for a software package that can help me design and view a new deck and pergola I am going to build. Do you have any recommendations about the software to use and where I can buy it? It will not allow me to design my own deck. I will be returning it ASAP. I purchased Complete Landscape Designer made by Sierra and the package is great! You can design your own deck and it has an extensive landscaping design software as well. I still can not design the pergola. Guess I'll use my old faithfull - Visio. Thanks for the help! I recreated my existing deck in about 15 minutes. Started on designing a new deck for the back of my lot. We have a hill that goes down to a creek. The woods out there are very secluded. Great place to sit and relax on a deck. I could not get the package to design a deck on a hill. The help area says to design it at the height you want it and then estimate the rise of the hill. Subtract the height of the hill from the beams and you've got the deck design. By chance have you figured out any tricks to design a deck on a hill? Thanks for the reply! More than a carpenter: I designed my pergola the old fasion way, freehand.... I would have used Visio but it turns out that I upgraded the verison last year and the new verison does not have walls, doors, lumber etc, etc. I use it to design computer networks and for documentation. I'm going to start my pergola next weekend. The top will be three layers of 2x12, 2x6, and 2x4 pt pine. Posts will be 4x6. I'm slopping the top from front to back to block the late day sun from the west. Looking forward to a fun weekend building it. It has a FREE online deck designer. The great thing about it is that at the end you can print out the whole thing and it also has a shooping list and a cut list. took me 10 minutes...does stairs railings, and multi levels, and round decks etc... You can resize, rotate...you name it it does it... The software from Decks USA is okay, but not for designing decks.
