The Craftsman car door opener system has a keypad for full operation within the garage
The Craftsman garage door opener is an keyless entry system that operates by means of a keypad control console and two or more remote controls. The system includes important anti-burglary features, as well as a light with a motion-detecting sensor. The Craftsman garage door opener is also compatible with HomeLink systems in vehicles that have a built-in transceiver for this program.
Instructions
1. Use the keypad on the motor unit to program the remote. Press the Learn button on the keypad. This will cause the indicator light to glow. Press and hold whichever remote button you intend to link to the garage door. Release the button when the lights blink on the keypad.
2. Push the Learn button on the motor unit keypad, causing the indicator light to glow. Enter a personal identification number (PIN) of your choice on the keypad, and press and hold Enter when finished. Release the button when the indicator lights blink.
3. Activate the motion sensor by entering your PIN on the keypad and pressing and holding Enter. Simultaneously press and hold the Light button on the motion detecting control console. (This step may require two people.)
Continue to hold the Enter and Light buttons while pressing the push bar on the motion detecting control console. The indicator lights on the motor unit keypad will blink, indicating that you can release all three buttons. The automatic motion light is now set.
Tips Warnings
Deactivate an unwanted remote by pressing and holding down the Learn button. The indicator light will go out after 5 seconds, indicating that the remote connection was erased.
Reset a PIN number by entering the PIN number and then pressing and holding the # button. The indicator lights will blink twice. Release the button and enter a new PIN. Press Enter and wait for the lights to blink, indicating that the new PIN has been learned.
