Properly clean amethyst crystals to extend their lifespan.
Dating back many centuries, amethyst crystals emanate majestic shades of purple. Amethyst crystals are common on jewelry, including royal jewels from England and ancient Egypt. Like all crystals, amethyst inevitably accumulates skins oils, soap film and grime, making it unattractive. Although amethyst is considerably wear-resistant, abrasive dirt particles may dull its appearance. Periodic cleaning is necessary to preserve its brilliance and original condition. Fortunately, maintaining amethyst crystals requires only basic solutions.
