Treat Acne Scars With Herbs

For every ailment affecting the human body, including acne, there are multiple herbs herbal treatments available. 1. Take burdock root extract each morning in a glass of warm water with a squeeze of lemon to help treat acne and heal acne scars. 2. Dab a bit of pure lavender essential oil onto acne scars each night before bed. One of the few herbal oils which is safe to use undiluted. Lavender helps to kill bacteria and viruses which cause acne, while reducing irritation and inflammation and promoting regeneration of the scarred tissues.


3. Make a strong tea from dandelion root, steeping about 1 to 2 tsp. of the root per cup of boiling water for 20 to 30 minutes. When the tea cools to a comfortable temperature, use it as a facial rinse to help clear acne. You can also take the tea internally 1 to 2 times daily, as it promotes the elimination of toxins and excess hormones in the body, which can trigger outbreaks.


4. Massage aloe vera into the skin each morning after cleansing the face and before applying your moisturizer or sunscreen. Fresh aloe vera squeezed directly from the plant is a powerful antiseptic and will speed the healing of both acne and resulting scars.
