Learning the pressure points is fun and easy. Pressure points correspond with meridians, or energy channels, within your body. Acupressure, also called reflexology, is an ancient form of healing. Using acupressure releases tension and boosts your immunity.
Instructions
Reflexology
1. Cause pressure: Reflexology is also called acupressure. Acupressure is much like acupuncture, but instead of using needles, you use your fingers to produce pressure on certain points.
2. Discover the points: Pressure points are areas on your body that correspond to body systems such as circulatory (blood, heart) and respiratory (lungs).
3. Understand meridians: The body systems relates to meridians, or channels, that flow throughout your body. Acupressure keeps energy moving freely along the meridians.
4. Reduce stress: Reflexology aids in reducing stress, relaxation, pain relief and circulation.
Pressure Points
5. Feel for the points: Pressure points are small areas that can be felt with either your index finger or thumb.
6. Locate a pressure point by getting your Reflexology Body Map.
7. Search: The pressure point for the bladder is located behind your knee.
8. Look: If you look on your Reflexology Body Map, you will see a black dot behind each knee, which corresponds to the bladder.
9. Press the bladder pressure point and you will release any built up energy and toxins. This unblocks the channel and keep energy flowing through the meridian.
Body Maps
10. Mapping your body: There are hundreds of pressure points on your body.
11. Use a body map that is simple while you are learning the pressure points.
12. Learn the tiny pressure point areas. The ear, for example, contains all the pressure points in your body. .
13. Start with your hands or feet. Use a body map that covers these areas only.
