5. If you are a women, look out for vaginal bleeding between periods or after intercourse. Abdominal and pelvic pain are also key indicators of gonorrhea. A simple std test can confirm that you have gonorrhea.


6. Go to your local free clinic or Planned Parenthood and get tested. The gonorrhea test is a simple urine test which is painless and quick. The test screens for both chlamydia and gonorrhea at the same time. Gonorrhea treatment comes in the form of a few antibiotic pills taken over the course of a week. Sometimes gonorrhea is cured even before it's been diagnosed. Patients displaying gonorrhea symptoms are often giving oral gonorrhea medication before their test results are in.
