Bring On A Menstrual Cycle

A normal menstrual cycle will be between 28 and 40 days. Some women are regular, and some are irregular. There are various ways to regulate a menstrual cycle and cause it to start early or delay its onset. The methods include pills, herbs and other related activities.

Instructions

1. Take Provera for 5 to 10 days when you want to induce your cycle. The cycle will start 2 to 3 days after you stop taking Provera. Provera is a drug used to regulate and induce a menstrual cycle. Other drugs include the emergency contraceptive pill, available in different brand names, and the day-after pill.

2. Take chasteberry in the form of a tincture created from a mixture of fruits. The general dosage is 20 mg a day, and it is available at most natural food stores. This is an herb that starts the onset of the menstrual flow and is called an emmenagogue. Herbs like this are used like the morning-after contraception and treat amenorrhea. Another herbal medicine prepared in Germany is a tincture of celandine created from the herb pulsatilla vulgaris.

3. Have sex when your periods are delayed. Sex can, at times, stimulate a delayed period. Women have been known to have their periods after days of delay when they have sex.

4. Do something daring and stressful. Anxiety and stress can, at times, stimulate the body to create extra hormones and bring the early onset of the cycle. Women who have, at times, faced sudden stressful situations have seen their periods coming earlier than usual.

5. Take 1,000 to 1,500 mg of vitamin C. This has been known to induce the flow of periods. When taken continuously for 3 to 5 days, the cycle starts early for most women.
