Beginning Stages Of Cancer

The beginning stages of cancer are the stages that need to be watched most carefully. If cancer is detected early and treatment is started quickly, there is a good chance that the cancer may not escalate to the later stages. The beginning stages of cancer are characterized by several conditions.

Tumors

In the early stages of cancer, it is common for a tumor to begin to grow. Sometimes this is a visible bump, but often it is not externally visible at all.

Jaundice

Some cancers around the pancreas will block the flow of bile. In the early stages, this causes the eyes and skin to become tinted yellow.

Lack of Energy

Cancer cells use up a lot of a body's energy. Although not exclusive to cancer, symptoms like fever, fatigue and weight loss can occur in the beginning stages of cancer.

Blood Clots

The early stages of pancreatic cancer have been known to see the release of substances that cause blood clots in leg veins.

Raised Calcium

Lung cancer sometimes makes hormones that increase the calcium level in blood. In the early stages, this makes nerves and muscles weaker and causes dizziness.
