Take a flashlight and search for dust (small feces), tiny blood spots on cushions or sheets, or tiny dots which could be young eggs. Usually these are slightly colored speckles all throughout the bedding or flooring areas.
2. If you want to control bed bugs effectively, treat the infestation once you've found your problem. Take all of your bed sheets, furniture coverings, and anything that can be washed to be placed in a plastic bag. Make sure you wash everything in hot water. After you have done that, be sure to vacuum everything. Vacuum in their favorite hiding places, using the hand vacuum or the extension. You will kill bed mites automatically by suctioning them.
3. If you really want to kill bed mites, call the pest control. Since these bugs are so tiny, it is very hard to get rid of them. A pest control needs to come over and fix this problem as they are a licensed professional and know what they are doing.
They will completely sterilize your house using the proper products to get rid of these mites.
