Use Epsom Salts for Aches and Pains


When your muscles and joints are achy and painful, it isn’t always necessary to reach for pain relievers or expensive creams and ointments. Epsom salts are an often forgotten remedy for aches and pains. They are a much less expensive option to help find relief and are very easy to find at your local drugstore. Try this easy technique using Epsom salts and you may find this helps not only relieve some of your aches and pains but reduces some of your stress, too.

Use Epsom Salts for Aches and Pains


1. Run a full bath of hot or warm water, whatever is comfortable for you. Make sure it is deep enough so you can soak your achy muscles and joints. It is even better if you have jets to stir the water while you soak.


2. Pour in ½ cup of Epsom salts while the water is running. This will help the Epsom Salts dissolve more easily. Make sure you help stir them around the whole tub with your hand so you get the maximum benefit from them. Add a little more Epsom Salts to the water if it is a bigger tub.








3. Leave time to sit for awhile and enjoy this treatment for your aches and pains. Rushing through the bath like you are taking a shower defeats the whole purpose of soaking in the tub. Listen to some nice music or light a few candles and enjoy the peace, or bring in that book or magazine you have been meaning to get to. Epsom salts make your skin feel softer after you get out of the tub, which is an added bonus.
