Take Alendronate Sodium Medicine

Alendronate sodium (commonly known by the brand name Flosomax) is used in the treatment of postmenopausal onset osteoporosis, but can also be used to treat bone loss in relation to Paget's disease or other conditions. The first non-hormonal medication available to treat osteoporosis in post-menopausal women, alendronate sodium works by inhibiting the cells responsible for bone loss and promotes the building of healthy bone. And although there can be side effects with alendronate sodium, the medication must be taken as directed to be effective.
