Make A Mesh Bath Puffy

Bath puffies make more lather than ordinary washcloths.

Mesh bath poufs, or puffies, create tons of lather for a smooth, luxurious bath. Both men and women can enjoy bath poufs with commercial or homemade bath gels. However, they can harbor bacteria over time. Creating your own washable bath puffy means you can save money and reduce waste by simply washing it instead of purchasing a new one every few weeks.

Instructions

1. Spread out your mesh fabric on a clean, flat surface. You may choose any color you like or layer colors for a rainbow puffy.

2. Place a circular container lid on the mesh, and trace around it with a permanent marker. Create about 10 circles this way. Choose a lid no smaller than 4 inches in diameter and no larger than 6 inches.

3. Cut out your circles with scissors, and stack them on top of each other. It's OK if the edges don't line up exactly.

4. Cut a 2-foot piece of 1/4-inch-thick cotton cording. Slip one end of the cording through the center of each mesh circle.

5. Slip the other end of the cord back down through the center of each mesh circle, folding the cord in half.

6. Knot the two loose ends of the cord together at the bottom of the stack of circles. Tie a second knot in the folded cord at the top of the stack of circles, snugging the knot as close to the circles as possible.

7. Scrunch and push the circles toward the two knotted ends of cord. As you use the puffy, the layers will become more fluffy and scrunched.
