Use a Pendulum for Chakra Clearing
A pendulum is a suspended weight or pendant used for energy work and divination. In chakra cleansing, a pendulum acts as an indicator of energy center balance and clarity. In practice, a pendulum is a useful tool for energy workers and patients alike, since its a tangible, visible signal for problem areas. This method for chakra diagnosis is derived from Barbara Ann Brennan's textbook "Hands of Light."
Instructions
1. Hold the pendulum or necklace (a pendant on a single strand is best) approximately six inches above the chakra on which you're working. Use just two fingers to hold the pendulum; this reduces the chance of body movement influencing the pendulum's motion.
2. Clear your mind and seek a state of balance. Don't come to the chakra, or patient, with preconceived notions of the energy field's state.
3. Watch the pendulum. Depending on how clogged or constricted the energy field is, the pendulum will begin to move. Brennan says that it will probably move in a circular fashion, but may make more of an elliptical or straight path.
4. Analyze the pendulum's motion. If the movement seems slow, crunched or sluggish, then the chakra is clogged, and there's not much energy moving through it. Another indicator of problems is if the pendulum moves in a counter-clockwise direction.
5. Scrutinize the shape and width of the swing. A healthy chakra has a diameter of about six inches; anything vastly over or under this amount shows corresponding over or under use. Elliptical motion shows that there is probably an energy imbalance to one side or another.
