The Types Of Llin Mosquito Nets

LLINs are a powerful form of defense against mosquitoes.

Whether looking to protect yourself against the annoyance of a mosquito bite or more serious malaria, Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) are an effective solution. This type of net does not have to be treated once a year like regular Insecticide Treated Nets (ITN). LLINs are also superior to untreated nets because they not only keep out mosquitoes, but the insecticides in the net kill the mosquito once it makes contact.

Pramex

Pramex mosquito nets use Olyset controlled release technology. Olyset Technology injects insecticide into the net and releases it slowly over the years. This is the only net available in the U.S. that has this particular form of chemical treatment. Pramex nets are highly tear-resistant and washable.

Perma Net 2.0

Perma Net technology specializes in slowing the process of insecticide traveling from the interior of the net yarn to the surface. This will ensure that insecticide will remain on the net for years of protection even after washing. This brand of net protects against insects carrying dengue, malaria, leishmaniasis, Chagas disease and lymphatic filariasis.

Interceptor LLIN

Interceptor nets use Fendozin textile auxiliary which binds the insecticide Fendona with the fibers of the net. The process results in the slow release of the insecticide to block and kill mosquitoes on contact. The chemicals involved in the insecticide are odorless and colorless, providing protection that is undetectable by humans.
