To legally smoke you must be at least 18 years of age (within the United States). However, there is no set age limit for braces, so you can fit into any age bracket and still be a candidate for braces. Braces can produce some issues with eating and consuming food, mostly because some food can easily become stuck in the braces. This is not the case if you are a smoker, and you shouldn't have too many issues smoking while wearing the braces.
Instructions
1. Light up your smoking device of choice, such as a cigarette or pipe. Avoid cigars because the material of the cigar can become stuck in the braces (due to the cigar lasting longer and the roll paper absorbing your saliva).
2. Enjoy your smoke just as you did before you had braces. Make sure to follow any local ordinances or laws about smoking (such as away from schools and hospitals).
3. Brush your teeth at least two times a day with a stain-fighting toothpaste. Smoking tobacco can alter the color of your teeth to a yellowish brown tint. However, this is only for the exposed teeth, so when the braces are removed you are going to have discolorations throughout your teeth. Keeping up with your daily brushing can help prevent this stain buildup.
4. Use mouthwash throughout the day. This is going to remove any tobacco that may have fallen behind after smoking. It is also going to help reduce the chance of awkward staining.
