Crohn'S & Colitis Foundation Of American

The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) was created in 1967 as a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support for patients of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs). The CCFA is also one of the world leaders in funding and organizing research committed to finding a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.


Scientific Journal


The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America produces "Inflammatory Bowel Diseases," a monthly scientific journal.


National Membership


There are over 50,000 members of the CCFA in the United States and 40 chapter branches.


International Collaboration


The CCFA works in collaboration with several international entities, including the European Federation of Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis Associations and the Associacao Brasileira de Colite Ulcerativa e Doenca de Crohn in Brazil.


Government Awareness








The CCFA is heavily involved in raising government awareness of IBDs and increasing federal funding dedicated to their cure.

The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America is run completely on corporate and individual sponsorship. It requires donations to provide its services.
