Prevent Ataxia

Ataxia is a condition that attacks the brain's elaborate system. A person suffering from this condition will exhibit the same signs of inebriation. Their speech will be slurred as they reel unsteadily and make uncoordinated hand gestures. Ataxia can be a sign to more serious problems, like stroke, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis and other serious neurological disorders. Other symptoms for Ataxia is nausea or vomiting, headaches, impaired coordination on one side of the body and decreased alertness. Ataxia is quite common where a stroke or hemorrhage in the brain has occured. To talk about preventing ataxia means to talk about preventing those other problems.


Instructions


1. Prevent from having a stroke and brain hemorrhaging. This is done by getting your blood pressure checked regularly. If you have high blood pressure, assume treatment to lower it. Don't smoke or stop smoking of you already do. Eat foods that are low in fat. Have cholesterol checked frequently. Keep weight under control by dieting and exercising. If you have diabetes, keep it under control by controlling your blood sugar.


2. Get more of the supplement manganese in your system. There are many great health benefits for manganese. Small amounts are already present in your bones. Taking a manganese supplements not only aids in he prevention of ataxia but also helps the bones, skin and cartiledge.


3. Eat more copper-rich foods. Copper can be found in vegetables and meats. Copper aids in bone growth and helps the body use iron and sugars.








4. Limit access to virtual reality devices. Excessive use can cause ataxia. Use within reason. Just remember the saying "Too much of a good thing is still too much."


5. Limit exposure to mercury, solvents, gasoline, glue and other poisons.
