Remove Dried Egg From A Revere Stainless Steel Skillet

Making a quick eggs and bacon breakfast takes just a few moments using a Revere stainless steel skillet, but removing dried egg from the skillet can take more than a few minutes, especially if the eggs were scorched. Remove dried egg from the skillet by properly following a few simple and effective cleaning tips.

Instructions

1. Add warm water to the skillet until it is almost filled.

2. Place 3 tbsp. baking soda into the skillet and stir. Bring the skillet to a rolling boil. Continue to boil the water while the dried egg loosens from the skillet.

3. Allow pan to soak several hours. Use a scrubbing brush and remove any remaining egg residue while washing the pan in the sink. Repeat if necessary.

4. Remove scorch marks by mixing a small amount of Bar Keepers Friend powdered cleanser with water to form a paste.

5. Gently rub the solution onto the pan. Use a fine steel wool scrub brush to work the solution into the pan to remove any burnt areas. Do not allow paste to set for more than a few minutes; the paste can etch into the stainless steel.

6. Work the paste into the stainless steel over several cleaning and soaking sessions to remove burn marks. Continue to repeat until skillet is clean.
