Use Tourmaline

You can find tourmaline in several different colors.








Tourmaline is a kind of stone that comes in a variety of beautiful colors, each with their own reputed healing properties. When you are using tourmaline, you can choose to wear jewelry, place it directly on the skin or carry it in your pocket as a touchstone. You should take care of your tourmaline by cleansing and recharging it properly.


Instructions


1. Run warm water off the tourmaline stone for a few minutes to discharge and cleanse it. Hold the intention of cleansing in your mind as you do this. Do this when you first get the tourmaline and then once a month after that.


2. Recharge the tourmaline by placing it in an area that gets direct sunlight. If you have a pink tourmaline, however, recharge it by placing it on or near an amethyst geode instead of in the direct sunlight.


3. Place green, red, pink and watermelon tourmaline directly over the heart area or chakra. You can do this by having a tourmaline necklace that dangles at that level or place it directly on the skin. These colors are believed to have healing properties for the heart and immune systems, according to crystal healing experts Flora Peschek-Bohmer and Roger Croxson.








4. Use black tourmaline (schorl) on the root chakra for grounding purposes and to help alleviate muscle strains, tension and jet lag symptoms, according to Peschek-Bohmer. Use black tourmaline any time you want to increase light energy around a particular area.


5. Wear blue tourmaline (indocolite) around the neck or place it directly on the throat of a person that is lying down. Peschek-Bohmer states that blue tourmaline helps to strengthen the immune system, alleviates throat ailments, and negative energy blocks there.
