Treat Cellulite On The Legs

Exercise can help control the spread of cellulite on your legs.

Cellulite, the dimples on the skin that look like orange-peel or cottage cheese, is a common skin problem. Cellulite tends to appear on the legs, thighs and butt. According to Mayo Clinic, many so-called "cures" for cellulite are not effective. You can treat cellulite on the legs by simple improvements to your lifestyle. This means watching your diet and choosing a fun activity that tones your legs.

Instructions

1. Reduce your food intake and try to avoid fatty foods. Eat more fruit and vegetables. Boost your water intake and limit your intake of alcohol and caffeine.

2. Exercise regularly to tone your legs and thighs. Fitness classes with the tag "Legs, Tums and Bums" are ideal. Aerobic exercise and swimming are good choices. Choose something that you enjoy that exercises the legs.

3. Research developments in massage, laser and radio frequency systems. According to the Mayo Clinic, lasers and radio frequency systems can offer temporary (up to six months) relief from cellulite after a series of treatments.

4. Avoid stress if you can and get help if you find yourself feeling anxious.

5. Give up smoking and do not start smoking if you are a non-smoker.
