Cleanse Blood

Blood is critical to your overall health. It not only supplies oxygen to your cells, it transports nutrients, helps eliminate wastes, controls your temperature, heals wounds and fights off infection. It, therefore, goes without saying that your blood must remain healthy and clean. Regularly cleansing the blood is recommended, especially when you begin to feel weak or sick. To do so involves a simple, three to five day cleansing program.

Instructions

Cleanse Blood

1. Eat a large green salad and drink one cup of herbal laxative one hour before going to bed the night before you begin your cleanse. It is important that early on in your detox program, you rid your body of any undigested food that may contain toxins. This will make cleansing your blood more effective. There are many brands of herbal laxative teas on the market. "Get Regular" by Yogi is among the best brands. Get Regular tea is rich in mild laxatives, mainly Senna.

2. Drink 8 to 10 oz. of pure cranberry juice a half hour before eating breakfast. Cranberry juice is a powerful natural antioxidant and promotes healthy kidney and blood function. If pure cranberry juice is too bitter for your liking, add a slice of lemon. Take 300 mg of vitamin C with your cranberry juice. Vitamin C promotes healthy cell growth, which will benefit your blood.

3. Drink a 10-ounce glass of carrot juice with breakfast. Carrots are rich in beta carotene, which helps the body stay rich in vitamin A, which is a power defender against toxins, which can deplete the blood of oxygen.

4. Drink a 12-ounce glass of potassium juice between breakfast and lunch. Creating a potassium drink can easily be done by juicing 2 large carrots, 2 stalks of celery, 2 radishes, a handful of spinach and a handful of parsley. If you do not have a juicer, drink a 10 to 12 ounce glass of low-sodium vegetable juice. V8 is among the top brands sold.

5. Drink an 8 to 10-ounce glass of superfood drink with lunch. Superfood drink is rich in micro-nutrients such as spirulina, manganese and potassium. All are essential in keeping your blood in top shape.

6. Drink an 8 to 10-ounce glass of V8 juice with dinner. To add flavor, juice in 4 ounces of carrots and a half an apple. The mixture is high in beta carotene and will also help keep you regular so you don't carry abound excess waste that could turn into toxins during your blood cleanse. Mince 2 cloves of garlic and them to your juice. Garlic helps promote healthy amounts of mucous and will help ignite your lungs.

7. Drink one cup of caffeine-free chamomile tea before going to bed. Chamomile has a natural calming quality that will help you relax and sleep well while your blood soaks in the cleansing nutrients. Chamomile also helps repair damaged cells in your skin, tissue and blood, due to its essential oil content.

Exercise and Body Care

8. Stretch your muscles and joints before eating your first meal and going to bed each night. Stretching promotes healthy breathing and blood flow.

9. Take a 20 to 30 minute brisk walk each day during your blood cleanse. Walking promotes healthy blood flow as your lungs take in deep and controlled breaths. Keep a steady pace, inhaling deeply and exhaling very slowly. Allow yourself to perspire. Sweating will help you rid your body of toxins through your pores.

10. Sit in a sauna or steam bath for 20 to 30 minutes each day during your cleanse. If you do not have access to a sauna or steam room, take a hot bath Add10 to 15 drops of eucalyptus or fir oil in the water. The oil in the water's steam will help you exercise your lungs, promoting healthy blood flow.
