Skoal -- a division of the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co.-- produces a brand of smokeless tobacco usually referred to as Skoal or dip. Available in a variety of flavors, Skoal tobacco comes in Long Cut, Fine Cut and Pouch forms.
Long Cut
Skoal Long Cut is exactly what it says, pieces of smokeless tobacco cut in thin, string-like pieces. While not exactly long, the pieces are longer than the Fine Cut variety. Novice users of dip usually prefer the Long Cut over Fine Cut form.
Pouches
Skoal pouches are comparable to miniature tea bags. All tobacco is contained in the thin pouch, which allows the flavor to flow through easily. Pouches make the tobacco easy to control and to keep between your teeth and cheek.
Flavors
Skoal, Long Cut and Pouches, comes in an unflavored "Straight" variety or in a number of flavors. Some of these flavors are Peach Blend, Citrus Blend, Cherry, Wintergreen and Apple Blend. Long Cut offers 12 flavors to choose from, and Pouches are available in six flavors.
